Please join us!
Our next AAWARE autism parent support group meeting will be on Thursday, February 19th from 5pm to 7pm. By request, we will be meeting at the café at the Hunger Mountain Co-op in Montpelier. We do not have particular topic or presenter for this meeting, but we will have a special visitor who will be joining us. Kirsten Murphy of the Vermont Developmental Disabilities Council will be on hand to answer questions regarding the latest on the State budget and developmental services policies.
Autism support groups are a very important way for parents to connect with others, network, form lifelong friendships and get information on what they need. The benefits of connecting with other parents are many. Our AAWARE group is a positive environment to seek support and share your experiences and wisdom with other parents. Parents who are new to autism and seasoned parents are welcome! Regardless of the age of your child, there is always something new to learn or discover. You may wish to bring a notebook!
Register on the AAWARE message board.
